How Man Is Changing the Environment and Biomes Free Essays

How is man changing environment or biomes? Man is drastically changing the environment with all the needs he has. Humans cut down entire forests in the course of a month. Then we build buildings in its place making it impossible for anything to grow there. We will write a custom essay sample on How Man Is Changing the Environment and Biomes or any similar topic only for you Order Now Those trees were a crucial part to the ecosystem and environment, which are now changed forever. We also drive cars, which emit exhaust, which in turn hurts our ozone layer and heats up the Earth. Once the ozone layer is damaged the ice caps melt a little and now the entire environment is changed, all thanks to man. Not to mention that biomes are changed as well due to global warming; the ice caps melt a little and the world gets hotter, thus the biomes near the sea are changed because the water level rises and the weather there is hotter. Another way man is changing biomes and the environment around the world is by building cities. Humans build new buildings every day and those buildings take up space, space that was once a tree, a bit of grassland, or maybe a little pond. The cities we build are all around the world and some of the places where those cities are used to be entire ecosystems. For example the Thames and the area surrounding it in London, England; they were once their own environment and we built over the land surrounding the river and dumped a bunch of garbage into the Thames. The same goes for Denver; it lies on a mountain, the area it lies on used to have creeks and trees, but now it just has buildings and roads. Another part of the environment changed forever due to us humans. How to cite How Man Is Changing the Environment and Biomes, Essay examples

Logistics Management in the Graduate Program

Question: Discuss on the logistics management in the graduate program. Answer: Introduction Students have number of options in graduate programs. They need to assess themselves for choosing the best position among the available options. Here a detailed analysis is made about the program and how that program would give benefits for the long run. Individual has numerous options but their challenge is to take suitable program for themselves so that it will help in their future prospect. There are many tests which are available that can help an individual to choose number of options available before them. The assessment would help the individual to know him better which would help to choose them from the options available. The plan that an individual make that should include long term career plan. People are moving in a fast way and they are achieving their goals in quite number of ways. Not for the purpose of competition one need to access his skills and likeness. There would be many obstacles that an individual would have to face while he is in workplace. Now if that individu al assess his qualities and choose a career according to that then he can definitely grow in a better way (Komarraju et al. 2014). Figure 1 goal in career Career plan Career plan reflects an individuals choice on available options so that they could grow and develop in the industry. It explains one should depend upon the individuals likeness on a particular subject. An individual choose the subject accordingly in their graduation development program. Career plan should involve a clear view about his future with a motive to grow and develop. The plan should be clear and transparent, it should include individuals acceptance on the subject. Individual has number of options to choose. They can include to work or to do a business. Even in these two segments they have number of options. Those options would include their future prospect (Marinas et al. 2014). The prospect in Logistic management is growing day by day in the market not only in Singapore but in all other parts of the worlds. According to that in my view my career prospect is going to be in the logistic sector. This is the reason for my choice to purse a graduate degree on Business administration in Logistic management as specialization. My main motive to purse business Management is to enter into the FMCG sector. FMCG or fast moving consumer sector has jobs which has the growth in that particular sector is high throughout the world (Waters and 2014). Figure 2 meaning of logistic management (Marinas et al. 2014) The food products have the largest consumption category of the world which shows an instant growth in the GDP every year. If I need to make a long career plan which includes entering in The Malaysia Dairy Industries (MDI) The Company is the leading company in dairy products of Malaysia and Singapore. I want to joint MDI because of its 50 years of experience in dairy product and the first locally owned manufacturer in milk (Mdi.com.sg 2016). Figure 3 Malaysia Dairy Industries All the plan need to access within certain lines then my plan is to pursue a graduate degree in business management in logistic and enter into the warehouse and inventory monitoring. To make the plan practical I need to at first enter logistic sector after having an experience of 5yeras I want to shift into MDI as a senior executive (Jim Wu et al. 2013). Assessment of the choice A graduate degree in logistic management would help to develop skills necessary to handle in the business of the logistical aspects of shipping, transportation and finance. Graduate degree on such particular subject would help to work in variety of industries starting from distribution to the manufacturing. Growth is one of the reasons for the likeness of working in the logistic department but there are other reasons which are attached. The good problem solving skills and ability to think quickly as well as logically and analytically are the few skills attachment which makes me to choose my career in this division. Along with it the commercial awareness is the most important. I like to adopt into a career which involves such abilities. The other reasons for choosing it in my career plan are because of the result of the assessment on the activities which was done at the time of seminar (Simchi-Levi et al. 2013). The first assessment is on reasoning skills which assess the ability for identifying the patterns and the relations which are attached to new ideas and problem-solving. The result showed that out of 70 the score was 42 and attempted question was 70. The result was in slightly more than average if we measure it in three steps of below average, average and above average. The percentile which comes from the score is 73rd percentile. The level of accuracy and speed shows that I intend to work quickly but without achieving high level in accuracy on the attempted question (Segal al et. 2014). The second test which under took was on Type Dynamics Indicator. The test intends to identify the preferences which indentify an individual. Every individual has different preferences those define and differentiates their personality. There are number of index which asses the indicator. The preference pair is extraversion and introversion; it explains the rate of energy that comes from. As in extraversion explains the people and the things around an individual while the introversion explains the persons own ideas, emotions and thoughts. In this particular assessment my score in Extraversion was low while in the introversion part the result is medium. The second pair is about sensing and intuition; it shows what an individual pay attention in. The sensing part shows the experience and the senses while the intuition shows the patters, connections and the future possibilities. Here, both the result was medium. The third one is thinking and feeling which shows how individual decide on ce rtain matter here thinking score is low while the feeling score is medium. And final one is on judging and perception which looks into how individual like to live the life it shows medium score both but perception score was higher than judging. The assessment shows that my recognition in the preference is for both. According to the result it shows that I am flexible in the way of my approach towards life it also shows that I appreciate people with different styles (Butcher and Spielberger 2013). The third test is on Numerical Reasoning skills, it shows the solving skills of numeric problems. The test contains 40 questions out of which 29 were correct and attempted question was 40. The score for this test was obtained 58th percentile which shows that my score was better than 58 percent of the comparison group. Again in this test my score was market in the yellow quadrant in measuring the speed and accuracy performance. It shows my work to complete it quickly but without achieving a high level (Mischel 2013). The forth test was on Verbal Reasoning Skills which shows the ability understand things logically about information on written. The score in this assessment is 36th percentile. In the speed and accuracy quadrant it marks in the yellow which shows that I intend to work quickly but without achieving a high level of accuracy (Carriedo et al. 2016). The four tests which are undertaken showed my speed is goods. It enables me to identify my ability according to which is that I am quicker in taking decisions. Now my decision to pursue the career in logistic is because of the result which appeared. The most important aspect in logistic is quick decision making ability which is essential for the development of management role in logistic (Waters and Rinsler 2014). The result also that I the motivations or energy comes from my own thoughts, ideas and emotions. It shows that I pay more attention in the own experiences and the senses that tells me. It also gives emphasis that I use feelings and values that seems fair and decide according to that. The assessment also shows my ability to adapt to situations according to the circumstances. The result further analyze me as a supporter which makes that I am quiet and friendly who does not involve themselves in the thoughts and views of others. This enables to become caring and sensitive in n ature (Ryan 2015). Figure 4 question paper of assessment test Strength and Weakness Every job when come in the practical world will consist of both strength as well as weakness. It is difficult for an individual to overcome from such weakness. But they need to understand it and cope up with it providing solutions. The logistic department in the same manner has some aspect of positivity as well as negativity attached with it. The reasons for the decisions has discussed above. It shows various growths attached with it. The assessment test also gives the result that career on logistic would enable me to go further (Yu 2013). Logistic has become one of the important fields for career growth. There are many opportunities in logistic field. As the economy expands logistic also becoming an important prospect. Outsourcing has provided with new challenges and opportunities in the field of logistic. The study shows that logistic job will increase by 25.5 percent from 2010 to 20120. This estimates an addition opportunity for 27,800 jobs which would increase with the time span. Secondly, the salary for an employee in that field is also increasing. It has many opportunities in the international market which is the leading market in US where the average annual salary is $96,740. Thirdly the advance in the field is also huge (Ghadge et al. 2012). The industry has huge opportunity in internal promotions. The chances are more for people who can work hard and can advance more quickly. The career in logistic also gives the opportunity to start at place Logistic is a department where all organizations individuals need in dividuals for that. Logistic acts as a stepping stone into the field of international market. it is possible to relocate pursuing the career temporarily or through permanently (Fanti et al. 2015). Figure 5 work of department of logistic The position has not only strength but weakness as well. Individual need to familiar with the industry they are going to work. An individual needs to know about the company and the day to day function that can be different. The responsibilities vary which depends on the organization on which they are working. The career in supply chain consists of facts and figures. The process is data and process driven. The tracking system in supply system is difficult and complex to track and understand the demands o the customers. Technological changes takes place at every point of time which shows that one need to be updated if they want to grow in that particular sector. Career in logistic also involves hectic schedule in terms of life (Ross 2013). Employees doesnt have fixed schedule. Warehouse management includes the fact that even senior management officials need to work with the labors for the whole day and whole year. It involves risk. The work life would be hectic along with pressure and complicated problems. Though this weakness can easily be overcome if is dedicated towards its career. The growth option that involves also enables one to overlook the weakness attached with it (Fanti et al. 2015). Conclusion The graduate position on pursing degree in the study of business administration in logistic management would enable to provide an overall growth in my career. But, to sustain the growth it is needed to maintain it. To achieve position in MDI one needs to get a minimum experience of 5 years. The concentration on that particular subject should more excluding others. To achieve the work experience one to develop skills and knowledge attached with it. The position also covers lot of hectic schedule. One needs to adopt with the problems. They need to understand all the negativity attached with the position and should work accordingly. It requires skills it problem solving as well as technological skills. So, during the graduate program one need to understand the subjects more efficiently with clarity of knowledge. They can even engage with training for understandings of technology and programs related with the subject.
